Silent Retreat: Four Immeasurables with John Bruna, October 12-14, 2018 in Auburn, CA

This silent, contemplative retreat is dedicated to cultivating the Four Immeasurables, a contemplative practice for people of all spiritual traditions. The spiritual awakening of this practice is the opening of the heart, allowing for a meaningful and fulfilling life in alignment with one’s deepest desire. The foundation of the Four Immeasurables (brahmavihāras) teaching is love, and the potential to integrate and respond out of love’s capacity for transformation and healing. The cultivation of the four qualities of loving-kindness, compassion, empathetic joy, and equanimity helps us to counteract the harmful mental and emotional states of anger, ill-will, jealousy, and attachment.
