The Mindful Life Community™ is excited to announce our next Mindful Living Skills webinar: Cultivating Equanimity, A Mind of Calm and Composure.
Register today to save your spot!
Equanimity is often described as a mind of calm or composure. It is a balanced state of mind that does not get caught up in extremes. It allows one to be present and stable even in difficult and challenging situations, not getting caught up and identified with overpowering emotions. While this may sound difficult to achieve, every day we can make progress in cultivating a mind that is balanced and clear and does not get caught up in exaggerations.
Equanimity is not indifference, rather it is the ability to engage in all of your activities with the same level of attention and clarity whether it’s difficult or quite joyous. It allows you to effectively deal with challenging situations and truly enjoy the pleasurable ones without a clinging attachment to them. With equanimity, you can bring an equality of value to all the people you come in contact with as well as the experiences in your life. They all have something to offer.
The panel for this month’s webinar:
John Bruna, co-founder of Mindful Life Program™
Rachel Currier, certified MLP Mindfulness teacher, certified MIR facilitator
Dusty Sylvanson, certified MLP Mindfulness teacher, certified MIR facilitator
Our monthly webinars bring Mindful Life Program™ founders, teachers, and guests together in a collective conversation on key aspects of practice. Join us to learn, explore, and have a chance to ask questions during these live events.
The webinars are open to anyone, so feel free to invite friends. They are free to members of the Mindful Life Community™ and Mindfulness in Recovery® Community. If you’re not a member of either, register for just $10.
