MLP Foundations Course

The MLP Foundations Course is a transformative mindfulness program designed to help you meet life’s challenges with greater clarity, resilience, wisdom, and compassion. Combining meditation practice with the practical application of mindfulness in daily life, this course empowers you to cultivate the inner skills needed to make healthy choices, respond skillfully to adversity, and live with greater fulfillment, purpose, and joy.

Rather than simply teaching meditation techniques, the Foundations Course offers an immersive and experiential approach to mindful living. Through guided practice, reflection, discussion, and real-world application, participants learn how to develop the freedom to respond consciously rather than react habitually. As mindfulness deepens, it becomes possible to navigate life with greater emotional balance, self-awareness, confidence, and connection to what truly matters.

The course is practical, accessible, and universal in its approach. Whether you are new to mindfulness or have an established practice, the curriculum is designed to support meaningful personal growth regardless of cultural, economic, or spiritual background.

The program integrates four essential dimensions of mindfulness practice:

Attention

Developing stability, clarity, and presence through meditation training that strengthens focus and awareness.

Wisdom

Recognizing habitual patterns, biases, projections, and emotional reactivity while cultivating emotional intelligence, insight, and the ability to respond with greater discernment and care.

Values

Clarifying what matters most and learning to align daily choices, habits, and behaviors with one’s deepest values – cultivating genuine happiness and a meaningful life.

Open Heart

Cultivating compassion, loving-kindness, empathic joy, equanimity, and healthier, more authentic relationships with oneself and others.

At the heart of the course is the understanding that true well-being and fulfillment arise not from avoiding life’s difficulties, but from learning how to engage with life fully, consciously, and skillfully. By training the mind and heart, participants develop greater resilience, empowerment, and the capacity to create lives rooted in meaning, connection, and inner freedom.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits may be available for social workers, therapists, and substance abuse counselors.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) may be available for teachers.
